Howerton Jewelers purchases diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process, an international system
that polices the trade of diamonds to ensure they are from sources free of conflict.
We purchase all precious metal casting grains for our creations through a reputable major wholesale supplier. Following is their statement:
"All of our gold and silver is purchased either from a bank or refiner. None if which get precious metals directly from mines nor from any source that would remotely endorse slave labor. We
also refine and recycle more than 98% of the precious metal that passes through our company."
Most of our larger diamonds are certified by independent laboratories. We’ll provide you with everything you want to know about your diamond to include the following:
- Chart of unique internal and external identifying characteristics in case of loss.
- A diagram plotted by a Certified Gemologist that shows the internal and external characteristics unique to your diamond. This is important in the identification of your diamond
- GIA—Gemological Institute of America
- EGL—European Gemological Laboratories
